It’s no secret, Western Sydney is changing. New infrastructure, emerging industries, changing workplaces, growing communities and a new generation of leaders are shaping what the region will look like for decades to come. But as we plan for the future of Western Sydney, there is an important question we need to keep asking…

Are women and girls being considered in the decisions shaping that future?

On Monday the 2nd of November at the Hudson Hotel, Seven Hills, the Summit will put Western Sydney’s future under the spotlight through the lens of women in our region.

What to Expect

The 2026 Summit will explore some of the biggest issues and opportunities influencing women and girls across Greater Western Sydney. Conversations will span areas including:

Innovation and Transformation - How emerging industries, technology and new ways of working can create greater opportunities for women to participate in Western Sydney's future economy.

Infrastructure and Construction - Western Sydney continues to experience significant development. How do we ensure the infrastructure and communities being built today consider the needs, opportunities and experiences of women?

State Politics - Policy decisions have real-world impacts. The Summit will explore the upcoming state election, and the role government and policy can play in creating a stronger and more equitable future.

Youth Voices - Young women aren't just our future leaders — they already have perspectives and ideas worth hearing. Creating opportunities for their voices to influence the region is an important part of planning for what's next.

Community Impact - Strong communities aren't created through infrastructure alone. We'll explore the people, organisations and initiatives working to strengthen Western Sydney from the ground up.

Together, these conversations will explore how we can increase economic participation and create greater opportunities for women and girls throughout Western Sydney.

The Summit is also home to the Western Sydney Women Awards, where women from Western Sydney are recognised for creating positive impact through their ideas, determination, leadership and commitment to others, across five categories. Learn more about the categories below.

Nominate yourself or someone you know impacting Western Sydney.

Who Should Attend?

The Future of Women in Western Sydney Summit is for anyone who wants to be part of the conversation about where Western Sydney is heading.

Whether you're a business owner, corporate leader, emerging professional, community advocate, government representative, student or someone passionate about creating better opportunities for women, there is a place for you in the room.

And importantly, this conversation isn't exclusively for women. Creating a region where women and girls have equitable opportunities requires participation and support from across our businesses, communities and institutions. We want to create space for conversations that can influence the future of our region. We need women to be part of the conversations shaping the future, and people who should be heard and have a voice in what the future looks like should be in attendance.
