Our program focus is in job readiness, career growth and financial literacy. We also create programs to support women into roles across STEM, trades and aviation, as well as facilitate networks and mentoring for women in these industries.
The Future is Bright
Empowering the next generation of women.
The Future Is Bright is a series of free programs that help connect girls in years 10-12 in Western Sydney with the resources, tools and support they need to pursue a career in STEM, Trades or Aviation.
Future Not Followers
Future Not Followers is an 8-week program designed for high school girls to facilitate financial freedom by bridging the gap between school-taught financial literacy and how to apply that knowledge in a practical, real-world environment.
Careers Connect
Careers Connect is a career growth mentoring program designed to encourage women to build confidence and prepare them for future employment opportunities.
Wise Women
WISE Woman is for women to assist them in being money smart, building confidence and preparing them for future employment. Community focused, it runs in an private online group with weekly online workshops and mentoring sessions with leading experts across a range of industries.
Build Your New Career
Build Your New Career is a trades based program giving women the opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive environment about all the different options there are for women in trades including painting, carpentry and sustainability.
WSEW in STEM
Western Sydney Executive Women in STEM is an exclusive program designed to encourage connections and develop self-confidence to women in middle management for executive level job opportunities in the future.
Women in Aviation
Western Sydney Women is proud to have expanded our Aviation programs for girls and women interested in being a part of the aviation industry.
In 2022, we ran five mentoring programs, supported under the Australian Government’s Women in the Aviation Industry Initiative, which were aimed at encouraging more women to pursue careers in all elements of the aviation sector.
Mentoring Women
Mentoring Women is an Aviation-focused program that assists women to enter into and thrive within the aviation industry across Australia. The program ran in 2022 and early 2023 in QLD, NSW and VIC.
Ladies Who Lead
Ladies Who Lead is an aviation-exclusive program designed to encourage connections and develop self-confidence for women in middle management for executive level job opportunities in the future. The program ran in 2022 in NSW.
The Future is Bright in Aviation
The Future is Bright Aviation Mentoring Program is designed to support high school girls in Years 10-12 across Western Sydney, to plan for a productive future in Aviation. The program ran in 2022.
Western Sydney Women in Aviation
In 2020, Western Sydney Women ran a three-month mentoring program for girls and women interested in being a part of the aviation industry. The first program of its kind in Western Sydney, it was an opportunity for twenty girls and women to be mentored by industry experts to assist them with their journey into the aviation sector, at no cost.
