Across Western Sydney, women are building businesses, leading teams, strengthening communities, breaking barriers and creating meaningful change. Now it’s time to recognise them! Nominations are officially open for the 2026 Western Sydney Women Awards, celebrating the achievements, leadership and impact of a range of women across Western Sydney.

Whether you know an incredible woman whose contribution deserves greater recognition or you’re a woman who deserves to put her own achievements forward - we want to hear from you!

Why the Western Sydney Awards matter

Western Sydney is home to an incredibly diverse community of women contributing across business, leadership, STEM, trades, policy, community and countless other fields. These awards provide an opportunity to bring those achievements into the spotlight.

We want to do more than simply recognise professional success, these awards have been designed to celebrate at different stages of their lives and careers who are creating positive impact through their ideas, determination, leadership and commitment to others. Importantly, the awards are free for all to nominate / enter, and free for finalists to attend. This ensures everyone is able to access the recognition they deserve.

This year, there are five separate award categories.

About the Nominations

People who are nominated must have a connection to Greater Western Sydney by living, working or running a business within the region. Self nominations are welcomed and encouraged, and women who have been previously nominated or selected as finalists but were unsuccessful can be nominated again.

Each award has specific eligibility criteria, so we encourage nominees and nominators to review the full terms and conditions before submitting an entry. Awards are free to nominate and for those who become finalists, free to attend.

Nominations are open until 5pm Friday the 11th of September 2026. Finalists will be selected by Western Sydney Women and announced in October, before the winners are determined by an independent judging panel. Winners will then be announced as part of the annual Future of Women in Western Sydney Summit on the 2nd of November 2026 at the Hudson Hotel in Seven Hills.

Submit your nominations and help us celebrate the women making Western Sydney stronger. If you know someone deserving, share this article with them. Because sometimes all it takes is one person saying “you should go for this”! Nominate yourself or someone you know below.
